Our digital circuit technology enables smooth dimming of the widest range of LEDs, with high consistency, compatibility, and changeable dimming curves. The initial brightness controller allows you to set the optimal dimming range for different bulbs. However, please note that our dimmers are NOT COMPATIBLE WITH SMART LIGHTS, SUCH AS GE C, PHILIPS HUE, which are controlled by WiFi, Bluetooth, or Zigbee.

The dimmer works with dimmable LED, CFL, incandescent, and halogen bulbs (LED/CFL: 4W-200W, incandescent/halogen: 15W-600W). Please be aware that dimmable LEDs may not dim as low as incandescent or halogen bulbs, and the dimming range can vary depending on the manufacturer.

When using multiple bulbs with one dimmer, DO NOT mix bulb types. All bulbs should be either LED, CFL, incandescent, or halogen, and using the same model of each bulb will enhance dimmer performance.

For single-pole or 3-way circuit installation, connect the green dimmer ground wire to the ground wire in the wall-box, the black dimmer wire to the hot input wire removed from the switch, and the red dimmer wires to the light fixture wire removed from the switch. Use wire nuts to cap any remaining wires.

At the low end of the dimming level, when the light starts to flicker, you can fine-tune the dimming performance by turning the adjustment dial clockwise to stabilize the light output. Set your slider to where there's no hum or flickering on the light fixtures.

The screw-free wall plate is easy to install, with the dimmer and mounting frame tabs facing down. The Cloudy Bay dimmer also improves the compatibility of dimmable CFLs and LEDs compared to standard dimmers by eliminating flicker and ensuring proper operation at all levels.

For troubleshooting, check if the lighting/lamp is dimmable, if the fixture is compatible with the dimmer, and if using a group of lighting fixtures/lamps with one dimmer may cause flicker due to variation in dimming circuits and ranges. If the light flashes in the low dimming range, slightly turn the adjustment dial counter-clockwise.

We recommend getting a dimmer list from the light bulb/lighting fixture's supplier to avoid compatibility issues, as a broad dimmer list means less dimming-related problems, such as flicker, buzz, or flash. Additionally, buying FCC-compliant lighting products can ensure stable performance.
